ARUBA TODAY MAY 26, 2005May and June mean Romance in Aruba...
We shared a sail with them where they relived the moment of that special
first kiss, possibly now rivaling Rhett and Scarlett's first kiss for
excitement and fame. We found them to be a truly gracious and charming
couple and wish them only the best, including setting a new first for
"The Bachelor" series by getting all the way to the nuptials.
(In Aruba, perhaps?)
Charlie and Sarah finished their return to Aruba in the air with Heli-Tours "And it was awesome!" One of the advantages of a return trip to Aruba is doing things you didn't have time for on a former visit. Since Bachelor Charlie O'Connell and his chosen girlfriend Sarah didn't have time for much besides filming their TV show, they really enjoyed the opportunity to see more of the island in different ways than during their first visit. Truth be told, the cast of the penultimate program in the series were nearly held hostage in their hotel by the production company, as their being in Aruba had to be kept a big secret the first time around. Now Charlie and Sarah, aside from promotional commitments could do as they pleased, and on their final afternoon on the Island they chose an aerial tour with Mike and Lori of Heli-Tours, located right behind the Seaport Casino. It is always a revelation to see the beautiful turquoise waters, the sugar sand beaches and rugged north coast from the air, and they report they particularly enjoyed Mike's lively commentary. During a final press conference Charlie included the helicopter tour as one of their favorite activities that he and Sarah shared in Aruba. Aruba has gained some fame as the sight of their first kiss, and it
is entirely possible they shared several more in the cockpit. Did they?
