Hoping for a rose
A Dallas Mavericks dancer and a maternity ward nurse from McKinney
will be among 25 women making a play for actor Charlie O'Connell on
ABC's latest edition of The Bachelor.

Sarah Brice, 24, the nurse, and Kindle Martin, 23, the dancer, are
contractually prohibited from talking about their experiences before
tonight's two-hour premiere (8 p.m. on Channel 8). ABC says that Mr.
O'Connell will have to eliminate 13 of the women on the opening episode.
The dallasmavericks.com Web site says that Ms. Martin's favorite player
is Dirk Nowitzki. The former Kilgore Rangerette, who lives in Rockwall,
also favors fast cars (specifically Astin Martins), the La Madeleine
restaurant and Mario Badescu beauty products.
Mr. O'Connell, identical *twin brother of actor Jerry O'Connell, will
be point man on what ABC is describing as a "spontaneous, less
formal and unplugged version" of The Bachelor. His acting credits
include Dude, Where's My Car? and a guest appearance with his brother
last night on NBC's Crossing Jordan.
