Is Bachelor Charlie a Cad?
Maligned on the message boards, O'Connell defends his reputation
Viewers have dubbed him a boob and a dog. But Bachelor Charlie O'Connell,
29, swears he's a good guy - despite a controversial rejection, a not-so-secret
kiss and a thing for wild women. "I'm proud of my behavior,"
he says. "I don't think I've done anything wrong." The accusations?
He didn't want to date a single mom "We agreed on it together,"
he says of the decision to send Kara, a 26-year-old nanny, home. Her
take: "We left on good terms," she tells Us. "It wasn't
going to work as far as lifestyles go."
He pulled a kiss-and-tell "A stand-up guy is when you ask me,
I tell you," he says, explaining why he replied "yes"
when some of the women inquired if he had smooched swimsuit model Kimberley,
25. "If I snuck around, it would've been awful."

His party-boy ways have ruined the show "I hear it's like a real
bad episode of Elimidate," former Bachelor Bob Guiney
(now a regular on The View) says of this season's The Bachelor
(Mondays, 9P.M., ABC). Counters O'Connell, "It's not Elimidate!
I'm trying to find a relationship."
"He's a great guy," ousted Kara (Who has a 9-year-old daughter)
tells Us.
